Judges 11:15-17

¹⁵ saying, “Jephthah says, ‘Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the people of Ammon. ¹⁶ Israel came out of Egypt, went through the desert to the Red Sea, and came to Kadesh. ¹⁷ Then Israel sent men to the king of Edom, saying, “We ask you to let us pass through your land.” But the king of Edom would not listen. They asked the king of Moab also. But he would not let them pass through. So Israel stayed at Kadesh.
